Demetrio Bautista Lazo is a weaver, an environmentalist, a teacher, and a community activist from the Zapotec community in Teotitlan, Oaxaca, Mexico. His mastery of natural dyes has earned him an international reputation for craftsmanship and artisanry. Mr. Lazo’s work will be on exhibit at the Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State University from April 2nd through April 8th with an opening reception April 2nd from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Please join us for this rare opportunity to experience a rich tradition of Mexican textiles! The opening reception on April 2nd and the exhibition are free and open to the public.
